(LPL) – Un menor de tan solo siete años fue víctima de un asalto a mano armada la noche del miércoles en el sur de Memphis, en un hecho que ha generado preocupación entre residentes de la zona.
De acuerdo con el informe policial, el incidente ocurrió poco después de las 10 p.m. en la cuadra 100 de Vaal Avenue, cerca de la intersección con Castex Road. La madre del niño fue quien alertó a las autoridades tras lo sucedido.
Según relató la víctima, él caminaba junto a unos amigos de regreso del parque Riverview Group Park, ubicado en Kansas Road, cuando fueron interceptados por un individuo desconocido. El sospechoso presuntamente lo tiró al suelo y lo amenazó con un arma de fuego negra.
El menor indicó que el agresor revisó su bolsillo derecho y le robó dos billetes de cinco dólares, para luego huir hacia un terreno abierto cercano. Además, el sospechoso, descrito como una persona vestida con chaqueta y pantalón negro, también habría despojado de dinero a otro de los niños que acompañaban a la víctima.
Afortunadamente, no se reportaron personas lesionadas tras el incidente.
