(LPL) – Un hombre hispano terminó bajo arresto luego de que su vehículo se estrellara contra una vivienda en el área de Whitten Street la tarde del lunes, según informó la Policía de Memphis.
El incidente ocurrió poco después de las 5 p.m., cerca de Shelby Farms Park. Al llegar a la escena, los oficiales encontraron al conductor sentado en la acera frente a la casa impactada.
Las autoridades identificaron al hombre como Manuel Corona. De acuerdo con el reporte policial, Corona explicó que manejaba hacia el sur por Whitten Street cuando otro automóvil se atravesó en su camino, provocando que perdiera el management mientras intentaba evitar una colisión.
No obstante, los agentes señalaron que detectaron olor a alcohol y aseguraron que el conductor tuvo dificultades durante las pruebas de sobriedad realizadas en el lugar. Posteriormente fue arrestado y enfrenta cargos por conducir bajo la influencia, intoxicación pública, manejo imprudente y no contar con licencia de conducir.
Pese al fuerte impacto contra la vivienda, no se reportaron personas lesionadas.
