Mexico Metropolis, Mexico — The Mexican authorities launched Jose Diaz Gomez after two years of imprisonment for a criminal offense he did not commit, based on Human rights organizations Fray Bartolomé de las Casas (Grupo Frayba). Diaz Gomez is a member of the Assist Base for the Zapatista Military of Nationwide Liberation, a left-wing guerrilla group that has been in various ranges of battle with the Mexican authorities for 30 years.
He had been held with no costs, accused of theft below pretrial detention for one yr and 9 months in a jail in Playas de Catazajá, Chiapas, in southeastern Mexico.
